Bluebell Walk

Last week my Husband and I went for a walk around the village.
The bluebells are carpeting the woods in glorious colour!
 The bracken is unfurling.
The woods and hedgerows are full of birdsong.  We identified stonechats and blackbirds amongst the many calls.
Tiny toadstools peek from under a fallen log.
A haze of blue greeted us as we approach the woods
and the air was sweetly scented.
Greater stitchwort grows amongst the grass.

The cow parsley is a delicate, frothy white.
 Butterflies basked in the sunlight.
 Even the trees are flowering,
including the beautiful wild cherry trees.
May is such a lovely time of year.
